Mock Ups

I chose Studio Ghibli as my "style" of layout that I wish to repeat. And the setting I chose is Waipoua Forest in New Zealand.

Layout - Colour

Whew...well. I could fine tune this for days and days. But im going to leave it as it is for now before I make it worse XD
Im sure I'll fix and fine tune it in the summer time. There is always room for improvement!

Write up :
The layout is mainly making your eye move towards the jet path in the sky by following the light source and the direction of the characters in the picture. Light source is obviously the sunset, so just the one source of light. Everything becomes darker the further away from the horizon. By using Hue, Value, and Saturation I was working towards the overall glow in the picture and the focus on the beauty of the sunset moment.

Layout Design Project #3 - One Point Perspective

I had a lot of fun doing this project. It was really great that we could draw anything we wanted and weren't weighed down by limitations.
Hope to colour it if I can find the time!

All of the above images are from the animated movie called "5cm Per Second" or "Byōsoku Go Senchimētoru". The backgrounds and layouts for this film blow me away. The use of colours, angles, and lighting fully captures my attention.

Great use of space, lighting and colour. Makes me feel like I am being pulled into the sunset.

Not like the others I have shown so far. It feels rather flat, but dimentional at the same time.
I love the lighting and colours as well as the style of showing distance.

Fantasy styled layouts amaze me. I love organic on nonorganic. It is probably my favorite type.

The lighing and angle is gorgeous.

The angle is great. And there is just so much to look at.

Very gorgeous use of colour and light. Simple and captivating.

Interesting angle. The background and foreground really work with each other, and use of light is really pretty.

Layouts and environtmental backgrounds are something I really enjoy. The use of lighting, angles and colour is something I like to study. Photography being one of my hobbies, I love to take environmental shots. I am very excited to be learning on how to draw them now!
